Who, What, Why

Sea of Ghosts is a personal blog project to help encourage the evolution of my personal style, mixed with general rants and raves about my greatest loves - shopping and fashion. An odd choice for a blog title, the name was influenced by A Perfect Circle’s “Mer De Noms” (Sea of Names), Nine Inch Nails’ album “Ghosts” and song “La Mer” (The Sea).

I’m a crafty girl, living somewhere near Melbourne, Australia. I love collage and found art, hand crafted treasures made with love, polaroid photographs, fabric remnants, magazine clippings, leather bound graph paper books, mechanical pencils, coffee stains on paper, technological gizmos, and useful box mondays.

I also love fallow deer, nine inch nails, cherry blossoms, lens flares, autumn, american thighs, the sound of crinkly paper, songs about the ocean (and drowning), elegance & decadence, the smell of rain, op-shop treasures, brown paper bags, lace and buttons, collectibles of all sorts, alice in wonderland and mad tea parties.

My dream is to have my own boutique. I am working on this dream by opening on online store in September 2008 dedicated to accessories. Think beautiful leather bags, gorgeous jewellery, belts, scarves and more. I hope to have my real boutique outlet by 2011.
